Terms of use
These terms are an agreement between you and Centurion Network, North Carolina, USA ("we", "us"), which runs Slot n' Slab: the Android and iOS app, the web version at slotnslab.app/app, and this website (together, "the service"). By making an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Your account
- You need to be at least 13 to use Slot n' Slab. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
- Give us a real email address and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- Your handle must not pretend to be someone else or be offensive.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has got into your account.
What you put in the service
Your collections, photos, notes, shop pages and messages stay yours. You give us permission to store, copy and show them only as needed to run the service for you: for example, showing a public collection or your sell list to other users, or syncing your cards to your other devices. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups, which roll off as described in our privacy policy.
Only upload what you have the right to share. If you turn on Help improve scanning, you also let us use the scan samples you send to measure and train our card scanner.
Trades, sales and holds are between users
Slot n' Slab helps collectors and vendors find each other, agree a trade, hold cards and record sales. It isn't a party to those deals. We don't hold money, cards or deposits for anyone, and we don't guarantee that anyone will complete a trade, honour a hold or describe a card accurately.
- Check cards, condition and payment yourself before you hand anything over.
- Payments a vendor takes through Square are between the vendor, the buyer and Square, under Square's terms.
- Disagreements about a trade or sale are between the people involved. We may help where we can, for example by removing an account that breaks these terms.
Prices and scans are estimates
Market prices, collection values, trade value checks and scan results come from our card catalog and automatic matching. They are estimates to help you decide, not appraisals or offers to buy. Prices can be out of date or wrong, and a scan can pick the wrong printing. Always check before you buy, sell or trade.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to:
- scam, harass or threaten anyone, or sell counterfeit, stolen or illegal goods;
- post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or that infringes someone else's rights;
- get into other people's accounts or data, or try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service;
- scrape the service or its card data in bulk, or use automated tools against it beyond what the app itself does;
- send spam or unwanted messages through trades, holds or shop pages.
Paid plans
Slot n' Slab is free to use today. If we offer paid plans, they'll be bought through Google Play or the App Store, and billing, renewals, cancellation and refunds follow that store's rules. We'll describe what a plan includes before you buy it.
Other services
Some features connect to services we don't run, such as Google, Apple and Discord sign-in, Square and tcgpos. Your use of those is also covered by their own terms, and we aren't responsible for them.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why. We may also change or stop parts of the service; if we shut it down entirely we'll give you notice and a chance to export your collections.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error free or fit for a particular purpose, or that prices and card data are accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Centurion Network won't be liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses from trades, sales or holds between users. Our total liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app before a significant change takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
